Kane celebrates his hundredth goal for Bayern Munich
Harry Kane has declared that his interest in going back to the Premier League has diminished and he is open to negotiate a new agreement with Bayern Munich.
The accomplished striker is currently midway through the four-year contract he signed when transferring to from Tottenham Hotspur for £86.4m in the summer of 2023.
The experienced forward has accumulated an impressive 103 goals in 106 matches for the German side, playing a key role in them secure the 2024-25 Bundesliga title - which represented the initial significant honor of his notable career.
Tottenham coach Thomas Frank has previously stated that he would like to see Kane return to England, where he lacks 48 goals to surpass Alan Shearer's historic Premier League scoring record of 260.
However, the England leader has now clarified that he is no longer as keen about coming back home as he previously was, and would seriously contemplate lengthening his stay in Bavaria.
"In terms of remaining longer, I could definitely see that," he commented.
"I spoke openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those conversations with Bayern yet, but if they were to arise I would be prepared to talk and have an straightforward conversation.
"Obviously it depends on how the next year or so unfolds and what we attain together. Right now, I would say we are in a fantastic moment and I am not focusing about anything else.
"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had asked me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.
"Now I have been there a couple of years I would perhaps say that has diminished a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.
"What I have discovered in my career is that different opportunities and different periods happen and things align. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am completely all in with Bayern."
Historic Achievements and Future Ambitions
Kane is the record top goalscorer for both Tottenham and England and lately became the quickest player this century to achieve 100 goals for a club participating in one of Europe's top five leagues, attaining the milestone in just 104 games for Bayern.
However, a trophy had avoided him until he secured the German title last season.
Kane reveals that he was not sure how he would respond after ending his trophy wait, but now feels it has made him eager for more success.
"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be tempting to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he continued.
"But it's given me more inspiration to do more and be better. I think I've proven that this year.
"I was curious in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to attain in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.
"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.
"But for sure, I driven myself the other way in terms of being even better, eating even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
